Amy Schumer is planning to make her Broadway debut this fall in a new play by Steve Martin.
Ms. Schumer will star in “Meteor Shower,” about an encounter between two couples in California. The play had previous productions at the Old Globe Theater in San Diego and the Long Wharf Theater in New Haven.
Joining Ms. Schumer in the cast will be Laura Benanti (a Tony winner for “Gypsy”), Keegan-Michael Key (now performing in “Hamlet” at the Public Theater) and Alan Tudyk (“Firefly”).
The play, directed by Jerry Zaks, is to begin previews Nov. 1 and open Nov. 29 at the Booth Theater.
