Solange, a Houston native, has announced a benefit concert for Hurricane Harvey relief on Sept. 28 at the Orpheum Theater in Boston, with all proceeds going toward “victims and families.” The concert will be part of her performance series “Orion’s Rise” and will feature the Sun Ra Arkestra.

“I’m committed to partnering with organizations on the ground in Houston and making contributions to uplift the city that raised me with so much love,” Solange wrote in an Instagram post.

Other musicians have also pledged their support to storm relief. Solange’s sister, Beyoncé, started an initiative through her BeyGood foundation to raise money for local organizations. Fall Out Boy announced that all proceeds from a Nov. 7 show in Houston will go toward relief efforts. Miley Cyrus has pledged $500,000 for relief, while Drake has pledged $200,000.

The Houston rapper Bun B is planning a benefit concert, along with Scooter Braun, for Sept. 12. A representative for Mr. Braun confirmed that an event was in the works; The Associated Press reported that it was tentatively scheduled to air on four national networks.
