Members of the anti-EU United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) voted to remove their leader Henry Bolton at an extraordinary general meeting on Saturday, party chairman Paul Oakden said.

Oakden said 63 percent of 1,378 ballots cast had been to remove Bolton, who faced criticism over his leadership of the party and over racist comments made by his girlfriend about Prince Harry’s fiance Meghan Markle.
