President Donald Trump on Thursday cancelled his planned meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin at the upcoming G-20 summit in Argentina.

Trump’s cancellation came an hour after he told reporters that he would probably meet with Putin there.

“I will probably be meeting with President Putin. We haven’t terminated that meeting,” Trump had said outside the White House, shortly before departing for Buenos Aires, Argentina.

“Are I was thinking about it but they’d like to have it. I think it’s a very good time to have the meeting. I’m getting a full report on the plane as to what happened with respect to that and that will determine whether I will be meeting.”
