Trump to divide million dollar Harvey donation among 12 charities

At least one recipient organization has political ties to Trump: Samaritan’s Purse, an evangelical Christian aid group, is run by Franklin Graham, son of the Rev. Billy Graham. During the 2016 presidential campaign, Franklin Graham was one of Trump’s most visible supporters within the evangelical Christian community. Since Trump took office, Graham has continued defending the president on social media and in the press.
